Die EFL Championship 2017/18 ist die 14. Spielzeit der englischen EFL Championship und zugleich die 26. Saison der höchsten Spielklasse der English Football League – nach Einführung der Premier League – als nur noch zweithöchste englische Liga. Die Saison begann am 4. August 2017 und endete am 26. Mai 2018 mit dem Finale der Aufstiegs-Play-offs.

Insgesamt spielen 24 Teams in der zweiten englischen Liga, darunter 18 aus der Saison 2016/17. Als Aufsteiger aus der EFL League One 2016/17 kamen Sheffield United, Bolton Wanderers und FC Millwall dazu. Die drei Absteiger aus der Premier League 2016/17 komplettierten das Teilnehmerfeld: Hull City, FC Middlesbrough und AFC Sunderland. Nicht mehr vertreten sind Newcastle United, Brighton & Hove Albion und Huddersfield Town als Aufsteiger in die Premier League 2017/18 und Blackburn Rovers, Wigan Athletic und Rotherham United als Absteiger in die EFL League One 2017/18.

Die Play-off-Spiele werden nach der regulären Saison mittels Halbfinale und Finale ausgespielt. Die beiden Halbfinal-Spiele finden am 11. und 12., die Rückspiele am 14. und 15. Mai statt. Das Finale wird am 26. Mai 2018 ausgetragen. Der Sieger steigt in die Premier League 2018/19 auf.
